As our students advance in rank, they have the opportunity to join our S.T.O.R.M. Leadership Development Team. S.T.O.R.M. stands for Special Team of Role Models, and is a group of students who assist in our class and act as leaders and mentors for younger students. S.T.O.R.M. meets once a month to learn teaching techniques and improve their leadership skills, and members assist in multiple classes throughout each week. By elevating the standards of their own practice and technique, S.T.O.R.M. members become a powerful guiding influence on the positive development on the students they work with.
H.I.T., our High-Intensity Team, serves as a preparatory program for S.T.O.R.M., and is available to students after as little as a year in our program. Every year, exemplary students are invited to join H.I.T., where they work one-on-one with younger students, improve their style, and get a feel for leadership and mentoring. These students wear black uniforms, and are seen as great examples of the talent that martial arts study can create.
